Luxury
Hotel Accommodation in Grantown-On-Spey |
There are two elegant lounges
where after a strenuous (or leisurely) day you can read the many
books and magazines from our small library. Before dinner, you
may wish to meet with other guests while enjoying canapés
and an aperitif. Later, enjoy the amber glow from open fires while
sipping that more famous amber - malt whisky. Or, if you would
prefer a port, or a brandy.
A small library provides an interesting and diverse selection
of books for guests to browse through including: Scottish history,
art, castles, whisky, wildlife, mountains and fishing. Tourist
information and maps are also kept in this room and provide a
wealth of information on the surrounding area and further afield.
The dining room and adjoining garden room create a warm ambience
for the candlelit dinners which are a fascinating blend of traditional
and modern Scottish cooking. A carefully chosen wine list enhances
the enjoyment of the food which is prepared to order using fresh
local ingredients where possible.
A Silver Award from Eat Scotland, a Silver Plate and a Breakfast
Rosette from Hotel Review Scotland and inclusion in Amanda Clarke's
"Guide to The Best Tastes of Scotland" are indicative
of good food in the dining room.
All bedrooms are en-suite, each with its own distinctive style
and furnishings. As The Pines was originally a ten bedroom house
room sizes do vary. Double bed options include King, Queen and
Standard size as well as twin beds.
These factors are reflected in the price (see our tariff page).
All the beds are of a deluxe quality with linen to match. All
rooms have original works of art, fresh flowers and fruit, colour
television, alarm clock radio, refreshment tray, luxury toiletries
and hair dryer.
A full bedroom turndown service is provided each evening.
